the staff here seemed to lack basic service etiquette. I found the room to be cramped, tight spaces barely fit my bags. so disappointing when I expected a certain level of comfort. also, not a single complimentary gesture for all the trouble. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Granbell Hotel Tanuki, Sapporo. The staff were exceptionally helpful, assisting me with luggage and offering recommendations for local restaurants. The public bath was clean and a relaxing retreat after a long day of exploring.

The location is convenient for public transportation but note that no public transit is available for early flights before 5:20 AM, which can lead to costly taxi rides if you're catching a morning flight. Additionally, there was a slight oversight with room amenities—if you're planning on doing laundry and need an iron, be prepared to haul the ironing board along yourself, which can be inconvenient, especially after a long day of exploring.

The delights of Sapporo's culinary scene are just a stone's throw away! I stumbled upon Ramen Sapporo Akaboshi, where the broth was to die for, and the gyoza at Family, just a brisk walk from the hotel, was pure heaven! Plus, the modern hotel vibe and lovely onsen added a cherry on top to my stay.

Sure, the room was a bit snug for two, and the lack of a bathtub was a bummer, but you know what? Everything else shone bright! Plus, keep those tattoos under wraps with stickers if you want to dip in the public bath, or just enjoy the rest of the great amenities!

Had a lovely experience with huge triple beds! The onsen was just divine, especially with the snowflakes falling. Plus, you can't beat the location next to shopping and a 7-Eleven for midnight snacking!

The barely-there breakfast options left me longing for more! And don't get me started on dragging my luggage from the station in snow—my arms are feeling the burn!
